Seven Songs About Progress

This album is a set of songs I composed during my first year of living in Brooklyn. My approach to the overall sound of the album was to make each song with very little post-production; but, also to create a surreal environment that would match the aesthetic of the other Collector’s Item albums I’d released before. Most of these songs were tracked live, as a band, all in the same room with minimal overdubs. I’m still wanting to move further into this cleaner direction with the songs I’m writing past this album.
